Path studies are a predetermined set of study modules that are a part of Humak’s degrees and give students application eligibility to the degree studies in question. Path studies will be accepted in full if you are later selected as a Humak degree student in a separate or joint application.
In the beginning of your path studies, it is recommended to devise a personal study plan (PSP). It is important to create a realistic PSP, so that you can divide your schedule between studying, work, family, and recreational time. Familiarize yourself with study planning in the section on study planning.
Currently path studies are only offered in Finnish. Detailed information about the path study courses can be found in the Finnish version of the Student’s Guide.
After completing the path studies, you can apply in a separate application for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. The separate application is organized twice a year, in autumn and spring. The content of the selection procedure and the selection criteria to be used are defined for each degree programme and are described in the guidelines for the admission procedure. Applying in the separate application is not an obstacle to applying in the joint application in spring.
